So thrilled to have Gabrielle Metz join us on The “Talk and Tunes” Show Thursday,
April 7th to celebrate the release of her new single “Mask” that released that night at midnight! We discussed that and so much more during this hour, so let’s dive right in…
Gabrielle is a singer-songwriter from Gadsden, Alabama. At 14, when she began writing songs, she not only saved enough money to buy her first guitar but taught herself to play. That love and passion for music excelled, giving her the courage to make the move to Nashvile just after graduating high school and diving head first into music fearlessly.
Gabrielle first kicked off the show with an unreleased tune titled “Mixed Tape” - Oh my goodness, I cannot say enough good things about this song! If you did not see this show, you must go back and watch the replay to hear this song. It summerizes Gabrielle as an artist and I told her, she could have written that song for me. To quote some of the lyrics “I’m a little bit country, I’m a little bit rock n roll, light on the R&B, heavy on the soul” YES! And then it’s refers to some of the best of the best artists such as the Temptations, Tom Petty, Tim McGraw, Queen, Chicago and many more! Sadly no release date is set yet but needless to say, I am ready for it.
Some musical influences of Gabrielle’s were and continue to be are Ingrid Andress, Carrie Underwood, and Kelsea Ballerini. She remembers specific moments seeing Carrie & Kelsea in concert thinking to herself “this is what I want to do & I can do this.” When I asked Gabrielle if she had a dream venue that she would like to play at, other than the Opry or the Ryman - she did not hesitate to say Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorodo, I mean, who wouldn’t want to - I want to go to a show there!
Gabrielle ended the show with her brand new release “Masks” - to read all about it - see our Feature Release Blog here
